The informal gist of the license agreement:
Please do not make illegal copies of the fonts and artwork. I have put thousands of hours in to these files and I am providing them as a service to you. If they are good enough to use, then my work should be good enough to pay for. Likewise, please purchase a license for each computer you will use the font(s) on. When you do use my work, please give credit where credit is due. See below for the details of the agreement.

By using the software you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this agreement, do not use the software and destroy all copies in your possession.

The artwork, fonts and software are owned by Benjamin Coifman and are protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. The fonts and artwork are provided "as is". Under no circumstances shall Benjamin Coifman or any of his business associates be liable for any incidental, special, or consequential damages that result from the use or inability to use the fonts, even if Benjamin Coifman has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall Benjamin Coifman and his associates' liability exceed the license fee paid.

Except when a special licensing agreement has been arranged, this agreement applies to all font and software packages downloaded from www.RailFonts.com. Where a font package includes all of the fonts and documentation originally bundled by Benjamin Coifman into one compressed archive and hereafter referred to as a "font". Upon downloading of a font, this license agreement supersedes any previous agreements except as noted at the beginning of this paragraph.

For each font license purchased, you are entitled to ONE copy installed on ONE computer at any given time. True Type and Postscript versions; normal and simplified versions; or any other variations contained with in a given package are considered one font as a collective whole. Such variations may be installed on ONE computer simultaneously, but may not be installed on multiple computers simultaneously unless licenses have been purchased for ALL of the computers. For example, you may have RRRoman and RailroadRoman installed on one computer because they come as one font package, but you may NOT have RRRoman installed on one computer and RailroadRoman installed on a separate computer unless you have two licenses.

You may NOT distribute copies of the font (software) or resell artwork derived from the font package in any form (including, but not limited to: CDROM's, badges, rubber stamps, stickers and decals) without the express written permission of Benjamin Coifman. You may, however, sell your license for a price not to exceed the original purchase price provided you include all of the original files, documentation and license agreement AND you delete all copies you have made. You may NOT make derivative works of any kind from the fonts, except as detailed in this agreement.

By distributing a font package, or portion thereof, without Benjamin Coifman's written permission, you agree to pay Benjamin Coifman $10 or the current catalog price listed on www.RailFonts.com, whichever is greater, per copy produced, per font package used.

You may not distribute the fonts/artwork in machine readable (software) form except GIF format or JPEG format. If you do distribute the fonts in the allowed manner, you must give credit to Benn Coifman for the creation and cite "www.RailFonts.com" and if used on the world wide web, provide a link to this site.

Without additional licensing agreements, you may not sell products (including, but not limited to: stickers, decals, T-shirts, and models) containing the fonts or artwork derived from the font package in printed or hardcopy format.

Without additional licensing agreements, you may use the fonts and artwork derived from the font package in printed form in publications (including, but not limited to: magazines, books, and newsletters) if and only if: (1) you give credit to Benn Coifman for the font/artwork and cite "www.RailFonts.com" in every issue or document that the fonts are used. (2) For periodicals, you provide a sample issue containing the fonts to Benjamin Coifman (contact zephyr@railfonts.com for current postal address, it is different than the ordering address). (3) For books, you provide a sample copy to Benjamin Coifman (contact zephyr@railfonts.com for current postal address, it is different than the ordering address). (4) This font package may contain trademarks and the use of any such trademarks are subject to the terms outlined in the next paragraph.

We claim no ownership to any registered trademarks included in this font/package, they are included/presented WITHOUT any endorsement from the respective owner(s). The use of these trademarks are restricted by Federal Law. Purchase of this font package does NOT constitute a license to illegally use any registered trademark. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that they are complying with all applicable laws and the allowed use of a given trademark.

Limit of liability: downloading, installing or otherwise using the fonts and other software files constitutes an agreement by you that you accept the software as is and that our liability (Benjamin Coifman and associates) is limited to replacement, exchange or a refund of the original purchase price (our discretion). In addition Benjamin Coifman and associates shall not be held liable for third party claims or for indemnification resulting from use of these fonts. All warranties express and implied are disclaimed, including warranties of merchantability and claims of fitness for a specific purpose.
